I’m a Plex server owner, and I think the Plex Pass price increase is fair

For well over 10 years now, I have owned and maintained a Plex server. I first got started with Plex when I realized that to consume most of the media content I wanted meant signing up for 10 different streaming services — and even then, I still wouldn’t have access to everything. That’s a game I refuse to play, so making my own server with only the things I want and nothing else was the most obvious solution. Since then, Plex has become a massive part of my life. In fact, I recently wrote an article about my most life-changing pieces of tech, and Plex is there. The server has been fun to create and maintain, and it’s been an absolute joy to share my media with friends and family.

I wish the Pixel 10 Pro skipped the 1x camera altogether for two zoom lenses

Credit: Rita El Khoury / Android Authority For the past few years, I’ve taken an average of 4-5,000 photos with my Pixel phones every year, from random foods and moments to gorgeous landscapes, beautiful street views, sports events, concerts, and more. I’d say I qualify as a mobile photography connoisseur at this point, though “addict” may be the more accurate word. But if there’s one thought that keeps popping up time and again when I take my Pixel out of my pocket to snap photos, it’s that I rarely, very rarely use the main “1x” lens. I’ve already said it: I think phone cameras are too wide, and 2x is better, so if it were up to me, I’d scrap the Pixel 10 Pro’s main 1x lens in a split second and replace it with another zoom lens. Too crazy? Hear me out.
